Identified: 02/15/26; Resolved: Targeting August 2026; Issue: In the High School CAST Interim Assessment–Life Sciences I, item number 3, there is a typo in the image depicting a formula. Resolution: The image will be corrected for the 2026–27 administration. Workaround None. This is a display issue only. It does not affect test delivery, student responses, scoring, or reporting. Identified: 07/25/25; Resolved: TBD; The California Educator Reporting System (CERS), Custom Aggregate Reports for high school mathematics are displaying “NA” for the Target description. In this case, the NA stands for “Not Available” meaning the data is not available to render in CERS. Resolution: Smarter Balanced is working towards a solution that will make these descriptions available in CERS. Workaround Users may utilize the Smarter Balanced Content Explorer to access the relevant target descriptions.

*Update – Intermittent Integrated Excel Loading Issues in ALEKS* We continue to investigate an issue affecting some users loading Integrated Excel within Question Bank assignments in ALEKS. Our engineering teams are actively working with our technology partner, Microsoft, to identify the root cause and restore normal functionality as quickly as possible. The issue remains intermittent and continues to affect a subset of users. We understand the impact this issue may have on teaching and learning activities and appreciate your patience as we work collaboratively with Microsoft toward a resolution.
